Water,water everywhere,but not a drop of tea!

As you may know, in the biz , Bootleg Abba (hard living musicians!) are known for drinking large amounts of tea.
Well this weekend was an enormous challenge for us; we couldn’t get cups of tea during our travels, in the sound check or even after the show. How did we manage to sing in tune and remember the words to the songs?
...we had to substitute our favorite tipple for ....wine!
It seemed to work…but we cant remember the shows!

The Ballad Of Reading Uni

What can we say?... We really enjoyed the show we did at Reading Uni on 17/04/08 many thanks to everyone who attended...thanks again! (*See Guest Book post 16/05/08)

In The Limelight...at 'The Limelight'

Thanks again to everyone at the 'Limelight Crewe' we had a great night with you  on the  21st March

Did you notice  that all the members of Bootleg  Abba are looking a little fitter these days? (we are all on 'Benny's  veggie meat ball diet!)

Jonah has a whale of a time...

We had the pleasure of the one and only 'Tony (Jonah) Jones' on V drums during our last 3 shows
(Leatherhead theater / Roncq France and Abbeville France).
Tony did a great job   ...counted us in...counted us out...and almost managed to keep pace with Ag and Fr's
wine tasting!
Thanks to everyone at these shows,we had a great time...hope you did too!
Take a look at the pics from Roncq on our gallery...

Funny Old World

Over the last 20 days it seems as though Frida has been changing her image,
Not just her hairstyle and clothes…. but the shape of her face and body!
What is going on?
Check out BA.T.V on this site between 14th Oct to the 24th Oct 2007 and find out.

An eventful weekend...yet again we had a great show in Thais  (near Paris)
We met the one and only 'Killer Queen' at the hotel (great band. great guys!)

Check out a small selection of photos on our gallery from Thais
Sadly we have now finished the French section of shows for this year and now will continue with our U.K dates

A Day In The Life Of Bootleg Abba

Fun and games on our Thursday 6th Sept show...the airline lost Sven's V-drum kit at Gatwick airport,
.... he had to use a hired acoustic kit at the concert  (see photos of La Rochelle in the gallery)

After he stopped crying (approx 4 hours!)...he managed to assemble the complicated  acoustic puzzle, then tune it and finally play a blistering show like the rock God he is!  (I guess all those years of listening to Cozy Powell came in usful)

Beowulf appears at last

We have just up-loaded a selection of still photographs to our gallery from one of our recording studio sessions,
check out the pics of 'Beowulf Lundegard' (our studio engineer)  cool guy! knows his stuff, and best of all
he makes the best cups of tea in the world (we only drink T.E.A.!)
We now have 11,093 hits on our YouTube video clips..great.

Gremlins take over

It all happened during this last 10 days,
as well as shows in Birmingham U.K and France,
Bj lost his passport in Switzerland
Ag left her passport on the tour transport
and Stigg Murphy (Bootleg Abba's European Manager)
left his passport at home, what can you say!!!

Jean Felix is the man!

Again we had 2 great shows this weekend, one in Switzerland, the other northern France.

Thanks to everyone out there...
Jean Felix de Bousies took some great photo's, find them on the gallery, he also recomended we all eat the national Belgian dish.. moules et frites, fantastic! (could Sam at JB's Dudley  please put them on the menu )
